Prep Baseball’s West Coast Games is one of the premier showcase events in the country, annually featuring the top uncommited upperclassmen in the region (Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Canada, New Mexico and Utah). This year’s event will feature a trio of Top Tier Las Vegas players.
Antonio Whitney (’27), Maddox Sedlacek (’27), and Soren Savarda (’27) will represent Top Tier at the event this fall (October 2-4) at the University of Utah, BYU, and Utah Valley University.
Since 2021, over 560 players have made their college commitment following the West Coast Games, making this a huge opportunity for Whitney, Sedlacek, and Savarda.
Three Top Tier Las Vegas Players Selected to Prep Baseball’s West Coast Games
Here’s the rundown of the trio:
Antonio “Tony” Whitney | SS/RHP | Pahrump Valley
Whitney is a ’27 shortstop from Pahrump Valley who anchors the top of the Trojans lineup and the 16U Americans lineup with Top Tier. The rising senior slashed .459/.538/.612 for the Trojans during his junior season en route to a 3A South MVP Award. Whitney carries a plus fielding and hit tool, and has stolen 88 bases in 96 varsity games with Pahrump Valley. He owns a .915 fielding percentage in 96 varsity games over three seasons.

Maddox Sedlacek | OF/RHP | White Pine
Sedlacek is a small-town product, but there’s nothing small about the 6-3, 220-pound corner outfield and infield prospect. Sedlacek hit seven home runs and drove in 50 runs with White Pine during the spring, and already has six home runs and 20 RBI in nine games this summer with Top Tier. Sedlacek has plus power, was clocked at 88 MPH from the outfield in May at Prep Baseball’s Top Prospects event, and ran a 7.03 60-yard dash at a Top Tier College Camp this month. Sedlacek wowed those in attendance at last month’s Prep Baseball’s Top Prospects, blasting a 111.9 mph home run at CSN, and registered multiple 110 mph exit velocities during his BP round.

Soren Savarda | OF/RHP | Bishop Gorman
Savarda played for Bishop Gorman’s 5A state championship team this season (and profiles to be an everyday guy on one of the best teams in the region there next spring) and hit .381 for the Gaels. Savarda is a 7.1 runner with an 82-MPH velo from the outfield and strong batted ball metrics (99.4 mph EV, 20.3 mph hand speed, and 75.6 mph bat speed via TrackMan).

Whitney, Sedlacek, and Savarda join six Top Tier Las Vegas players heading to the University of Oregon this fall as Super Sophomores, and Ty Kincaid, who will be in Georgia next month as a Future Games participant, as high school players in the program with massive opportunities ahead of them in the coming months.
