We’re back in action this weekend, with both the 10U and 14U Top Tier Las Vegas groups competing in the Perfect Game Las Vegas Baseball Bash.
The 10U team will open their weekend with a double header at Arroyo Grande, facing ZT Prospects Nevada – Henderson at 12:35 PM and MTBA Dawgs at 4:40 PM on Saturday.
The 10U group was last in action two weeks ago, advancing to the brackets of the PG Spring NIT with a 2-1-1 record in pool play before falling to MTBA in bracket play. Saturday’s nightcap gives Coach Erbach’s group another shot at MTBA.
The 14s are in action this weekend as well, looking to build off their championship win two weeks ago in the USSSA Spring NIT.
They’ll open the weekend with a doubleheader on Saturday against the Las Vegas Titans at 8:00 AM, followed by a matchup with MTBA at 11:00 AM. Those games will be played at Desert Diamonds.
Around the Horn
- We had a parent and player information meeting last night with Chris Colabello from Pelotero, who went through the ins and outs of the platform and answered parents’ and players’ questions.

- Miles Allen (’29) turned in another scoreless inning out of the bullpen for Coronado. The freshman has turned in three scoreless outings in April.
- Tyson Tra (’29) went 2-4 with a pair of runs scored for Desert Oasis on Wednesday. Tra has seen his playing time increase signifigantly in recent weeks and is taking advantage of the opportunity, slashing .421/.522/.421 in April for the JV Diamondbacks.
- Antonio Whitney (’27), Anthony Montanez (’28), and CJ Nelson (’28) combined for six hits in Pahrump Valley’s 7-1 victory over Boulder City on Wednesday afternoon. Montanez led the way with three hits, while Whitney and Nelson picked up two and one hits, respectively.
