Trey Webb had a day to remember on Friday, capping a dominant doubleheader performance with a four-inning no-hitter in Game 2 as Laughlin run-ruled Sandy Valley 14-0.
Webb was untouchable on the mound, retiring hitter after hitter over four innings without surrendering a hit. He struck out seven and walked two, finishing the outing as clean as it gets. The game ended early via the run rule, but the no-hitter was complete.
He was just as dangerous at the plate. Webb went 3-for-4 in the nightcap with four RBI and two runs scored, providing plenty of the offensive firepower that made the run rule possible. In the opener, he went 1-for-1 with a double, an RBI, a run scored, and a walk.
On the day, Webb reached base five times across the two games — a fitting reflection of the kind of player he’s been all season long.
Through 50 plate appearances in 2026, the Laughlin standout is slashing .515/.600/1.418 with five doubles, a triple, and a home run.
He’s driven in 18 runs, scored 10, drawn five walks, and struck out just twice. Whatever the level, those numbers reflect a hitter who is locked in — and today was another reminder of what Webb brings to the field on both sides of the ball.
