Top Tier Las Vegas is actively evaluating players for our 16U and 18U programs ahead of the summer and fall seasons — and we want to hear from you.
We’re not holding open tryouts. Instead, players interested in joining the program will have the opportunity to participate in workouts already on our calendar, where our staff can evaluate them in a real practice setting. It’s a process that works better for everyone — you get a genuine look at what we’re building, and we get to see you compete.
Who we’re looking for: We’re targeting varsity baseball players who are serious about taking their game to the next level — players who want to be pushed, developed, and put in position to be seen and recruited.
- 16U: Graduating classes of 2028 and 2029
- 18U: Graduating classes of 2026 and 2027
The 16U Program
Our 16U program is built around three groups, all working under the same coaching and player development staff.
The 16U Americans compete on an intense prospect circuit schedule built for players ready to be seen and evaluated at the highest level. That schedule includes:
- Intrasquad games on college campuses in Chicago against other Top Tier teams
- Workouts at Top Tier HQ
- A Top Tier exclusive college camp at St. Xavier University in Chicago, with 25+ colleges in attendance
- A Top Tier exclusive Prep Baseball Scout Day at Triton College in Chicago
- Utah Tech Team Camp — three games plus a combine-style showcase
- Prep Baseball Florida Open at IMG Academy
- WWBA National Championships in Arizona at the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers spring training complex
The 16U Navy is designed for freshmen who need more time to develop before stepping onto the prospect circuit. The competition level is different, but the standard isn’t — Navy players work with the same coaching staff and player development staff as the Americans, and they’re developed with the same intentionality and attention.
The 16U Taxi Squad splits time between both groups and schedules, giving those players exposure to both environments as they continue to develop and find their footing within the program.
The 18U Program
Our 18U players work with the same coaching and player development staff as our 16U groups. They will also have access to the Top Tier exclusive college camp at St. Xavier University, the Prep Baseball Scout Day at Triton College, and workouts at Top Tier HQ — in addition to a competitive schedule built for players preparing for the next level.
Top Tier Select: Competing for a Spot on the National Stage
Every Top Tier high school player has the opportunity to compete for a roster spot on one of our Top Tier Select nationals teams. These teams hold bids to some of the most exclusive tournaments in the country, including:
- USA Baseball National Championships in Cary, NC at the USA Baseball National Training Complex
- WWBA World Championships in Jupiter, FL
Earning a spot on a Select nationals team is a chance to compete on the biggest stages in amateur baseball — and for Top Tier players, that opportunity is always on the table.
Player Development & Recruiting
Development and recruiting assistance are our bread and butter. Top Tier has been part of 5,000+ college commits and has produced hundreds of MLB players. We put players in position to be seen, evaluated, and recruited — and we give them the tools to be ready when that moment comes.
Top Tier’s sister company is Prep Baseball Report — same ownership — and all Top Tier players participate in Prep Baseball events at a discounted rate.
What to Expect at Evaluation
Players will be evaluated by our hitting and pitching coaches and our fielding coordinator. Every player who comes through the process will receive written and PDF reports featuring Rapsodo and/or Pelotero data — tangible, actionable feedback on your performance and your current level of readiness. That data is yours regardless of the outcome. Whether or not there’s a fit with Top Tier, you’ll leave with something useful.
A $25 tech fee is required in advance of your in-person workout, paid via the Top Tier Las Vegas Venmo. This covers the data collection and reporting process.
