The Prep Baseball Class of 2028 rankings dropped last week, and four Top Tier Las Vegas players cracked the list in the latest update.
Ty Kincaid led the group, checking in as the No. 10 overall prospect in the class in Nevada, and the state’s No. 1 left-handed pitching prospect. Kincaid was also named one of the “5 Arms to Know” ahead of the 2026 high school season by Prep Baseball West Coast Supervisor Brett Harrison.
“The 6-foot-3 Top Tier product has continued to impress each time out with us at the Las Vegas Top Prospect Games in May, then at the inaugural Super Sophomore Games, and finally at the Top Tier Scout Day, where his velocity ticked up again. The projectability with his long, lean frame, along with his present feel for his secondary mix, makes this a player that we expect to make serious jumps over the next few months and make an early impact for Palo Verde this coming Spring,” Harrison wrote in his write-up on the Top 10 2028 prospects in Nevada this week.
Joseph “JoJo” Luna followed Kincaid at No. 41 overall and No. 3 among left-handed pitchers in the class, giving Top Tier Las Vegas two of the top three southpaws in the state of Nevada among 2028 grads. Kincaid and Luna were both participants in the West Coast Super Sophomore Games at the University of Oregon in August and are primed for big seasons in 2026.
In between Kincaid and Luna is Dylan Foote, who clocked in at No. 27 overall and No. 4 among catchers in the class.
Big right-hander Jack Carpenter rounded out Top Tier’s players on the updated rankings, checking in at No. 48 and No. 7 among right-handed pitchers in the class.
Kincaid, Foote, Luna, and Carpenter join Blake Bedard, Ethan Macanas, Ethan Gonzales, Santiago Fargo, and Chris “Trey” Webb III as Top Tier players from the Silver State to get recent recognition from Prep Baseball during rankings season, with Bedard, Macanas, Gonzales, Fargo, and Webb being names to the “Freshmen 50” list two weeks ago.
With the Class of 2027 updated rankings right around the corner, we’ll see more Top Tier players getting the recognition they deserve ahead of the 2026 season.
